i have decided to wear my hair in a middle part and grow out my bangs.

i wasn't sure at first but then i saw some pictures of gwyneth paltrow wearing the middle part in many different ways and looking beautiful. i don't have a personal hair stylist and am no gwyneth paltrow. but i'm going to give it a go.

today gob knocked over one of my plants i just planted and i dont know if it was lavender or mint, so i can't add more seeds. out of all the plants i'm growing (herbs, ivy, etc.) those 2 are my favorite and it makes me so sad to think one of them might not grow. i swore a lot.

because i am angry about the plants i decided to also include these pictures to make me (and whoever reads) feel happy. one is a very fat cat. the other is TI (so fineee).

this is my day everyday.

let me make clear that the tip jar is empty, and not many people who come in are as smiley as those 2 guys. i told 5 kids today to say thank you to me, and i yelled at one man because instead of waiting for his turn then telling me what he ordered so i could ring him in, he threw his 20 dollar bill at me when i was talking to another customer and screamed 'serve me'. not ok. let me also make clear that i HATE screaming babies - and that there are about 20 strollers filled with them, in the store, at any given time. other then that though it's kind of a funny/fun job. with all the free cheese blintz i can eatttttttt.

tonight on iron chef it was a battle between 2 of my favorite chefs.

usually i cheer for batali but tonight cheered for oliver. batali won though because he is the IRON CHEF. speaking of delicious food, matt and i went to a restuarant in china town tonight and i had my favorite peanut butter dumplings. the waiter gave us a huge speech on how we didn't need 2 orders, as it is too much for 2 people to handle. then at the end of the meal he was like 'i told you so' even though we ate almost everything. pft.

i start my new job on sunday and am nervouuuuusss. not that i won't do well, but more about just starting at a new place, i get nervous to meet new people in a work situation. (im lame).

not much else has been happening, i got someone to take over the lease on my old apartment. (YEAH) all i have to do now is paint over the giant word 'VOMIT' that someoneee wrote on the wall in black marker. great.

last night i watched a movie with kate bosworth in it and then read a magazine article on her today in vogue. it repsparked my love for her.

and while reading vogue i also decided one of my favorite new (i think he's pretty new) designers is phillip lim. http://www.31philliplim.com/ look at his spring collection. it's all good though.

peanut butter noodle time.

for girls in toronto who miss p.b. noodles:

1/4 cup peanut butter (smooth)
1 tbsp white sugar
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oil
3 tbsp water (add more if it gets too thick)
1/2 tsp chili pepper

stir over low heat.
